ATTRACTISS tool highlighted at the EU‑CAP Seminar “Innovative tools for advisors”

The EU‑CAP Seminar “Innovative tools for advisors”, held in Dublin from 19 March to 20 March, brought together advisors, Innovation Support Services (ISS) and policy actors to exchange practical approaches and tools that strengthen advisory work across Europe.

Within this context, Marleen Gysen (Boerenbond, ATTRACTISS partner) showcased the Innovation Timeline, a participatory tool developed and promoted within the ATTRACTISS project and available on the AKISConnect platform.

The seminar aimed to highlight innovative, practice‑oriented tools that support advisors in facilitating change, reflection and learning within agricultural and forestry innovation processes. The Innovation Timeline fits directly within this objective by helping groups visually map actions and decisions over time, supporting collective reflection.

By using emojis to capture emotions, challenges, successes and key turning points, the tool makes innovation journeys more visual, accessible and engaging, supporting dialogue among diverse actors involved in multi‑actor processes.

The presentation generated very positive feedback from participants, who actively exchanged ideas on how the Innovation Timeline could be adapted and applied in different advisory contexts and innovation settings.

The Innovation Timeline is one of several practical tools developed and disseminated through ATTRACTISS and hosted on AKISConnect, supporting advisors and ISS actors in their day‑to‑day work and reinforcing ATTRACTISS’ contribution to strengthening European AKIS.
