On 25 June 2026, representatives of the ATTRACTISS project participated in the CAP4YOU-DPMS workshop“The role of agricultural advisory services within the CAP and its prospects for meeting the needs of the agricultural sector”, held at the Library of the Agricultural University of Athens.

The event was organised by the CAP4YOU programme in collaboration with the Interdepartmental Master’s Programme“Entrepreneurship and Consulting in Rural Development” of the Agricultural University of Athens.

The workshop brought together speakers representing a broad range of national and European agricultural advisory organisations, who addressed key topics related to the present and future of agricultural advisory services.

Discussions focused on:

• the importance of the role of agricultural advisors;
• recent developments regarding the implementation of agricultural advisory services under the current Common Agricultural Policy (CAP);
• ways to strengthen the role of agricultural advisors through innovative tools and thematic networks.

These topics closely align with the objectives of ATTRACTISS, which aims to strengthen Innovation Support Services (ISS) and support advisors, facilitators and other AKIS actors with practical methods, tools and approaches to foster innovation and knowledge exchange.

The workshop provided an opportunity to engage with experts and stakeholders working on agricultural advisory services, while contributing to discussions on how advisors can better support the evolving needs of the agricultural sector through collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing.

By participating in events such as this, ATTRACTISS continues to engage with the wider advisory and innovation community, promoting dialogue on the future of advisory services and their contribution to stronger Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS).
