The ATTRACTISS 7 Spiral Functions Card Set is a practical and reflective tool developed within the ATTRACTISS project to support Innovation Support Services (ISS) and other AKIS actors in understanding and applying the seven key functions of innovation support throughout the innovation process.
Each card represents one of the seven ISS functions, illustrated along the stages of the Spiral Facilitation Process. The cards show how different types of support are needed at different moments in an interactive, multi‑actor innovation process.
Designed to support facilitation, learning and dialogue, the card set can be used:
- to reflect on roles and responsibilities in innovation processes
- to map support functions against different stages of innovation
- to identify gaps or overlaps in innovation support
- and to structure workshops, trainings or group discussions with advisors, facilitators and project teams
The cards do not prescribe a fixed pathway. Instead, they encourage discussion, shared understanding and adaptive use, helping innovation actors navigate complexity and strengthen their contribution to sustainable transitions in agriculture and forestry.
