The 5th Annual ATTRACTISS Meeting in Vienna

How can the results of ATTRACTISS keep strengthening innovation support services long after the project ends? With two years left, this question shaped the 5th Annual ATTRACTISS Meeting, held on 29 and 30 September 2026 in Vienna, Austria.

More than 20 representatives from 14 partner organisations met at the ARS-Akademie in the centre of Vienna, hosted by the Wirtschaftsagentur Burgenland (WAB). After a welcome from Harald Horvath (WAB), Patrizia Proietti (CREA) and Marleen Gysen (BBP) opened the meeting and introduced its central theme: moving from project delivery to lasting impact.

Looking Back to Move Forward

The first day began with a reflection exercise on the consortium’s journey in 2025 and 2026, giving partners the chance to revisit the activities, milestones and energy of the past year. AKI and CREA then presented the results of the capacity development feedback and the updated questionnaire, followed by AUA’s session on the next steps and policy recommendations on “silent actors” in AKIS.

Strengthening the Forum and Local Impact

In the afternoon, partners brainstormed new ways to dynamise the Forum on AKISConnect and to make the most of the practical case collection, in sessions led by CRAO and Soil Association. ProAgria, ZLTO and agrathaer then explored how the ATTRACTISS webinars and Master Classes create impact at the local level, reaching advisors and innovation brokers on the ground.

Creating Impact Through Communication and Exploitation

The second day looked ahead. Partners discussed how ATTRACTISS can open up to new countries and actors, before turning to communication and exploitation in an interactive session led by CONSULAI. Partners reviewed the project’s communication results and shared ideas for media outreach.

The session then focused on exploitation: making sure ATTRACTISS results are actually used. Working in small groups, partners identified the project’s key exploitable results. For each result, the groups mapped who will use it, what users need to take it up, who will keep it alive after the project ends, and which concrete next steps are needed.

Continuing the Journey

The meeting closed with a session on the path from ATTRACTISS to dynADVICE, a new seven-year Horizon Europe project that will carry much of the ATTRACTISS work forward. Coordinated by Teagasc, dynADVICE brings together 21 beneficiaries from 16 countries and aims to build a sustainable European advisory network by connecting advisors through dynamic learning communities. Partners explored how the ATTRACTISS community, results and the AKISConnect platform can feed into this next chapter.

Take-away

The meeting confirmed that the consortium is entering its final phase with a strong focus on impact. Partners committed to bringing ATTRACTISS results into their own organisations, networks and national AKIS. The outcomes of the exploitation work will feed into a dedicated exploitation plan for the project’s last two years.
