ATTRACTISS at the EU CAP Network Workshop on Innovation and Knowledge Exchange

On 11–12 February 2026, the third EU CAP Network workshop “Networking for Innovation and Knowledge Exchange” took place in Jūrmala, Latvia, bringing together representatives from National and Regional CAP Networks, Managing Authorities, AKIS Coordination Bodies, and Horizon Europe National Contact Points.

The workshop aimed to strengthen the implementation of EIP-AGRI Operational Groups and enhance cooperation on innovation and knowledge exchange under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023–2027. Participants engaged in discussions and peer learning activities focused on improving collaboration between innovation actors across Europe.

Key themes of the event included peer learning, dissemination and uptake of project results, the development of practical knowledge hubs, and stronger synergies between CAP Networks and Horizon Europe structures.

Representing ATTRACTISS, Krista Mikkonen from ProAgria presented insights on how Innovation Support Services (ISS) can play a key role in helping actors approach change as a collaborative and forward-looking process rather than a challenge to overcome.

During her presentation, Krista introduced the ATTRACTISS Toolkit, a collection of tools and methods specifically tailored for and by Innovation Support Services providers within the agricultural domain. These resources are designed to empower ISS providers in delivering effective support to farmers, agribusinesses, and other AKIS stakeholders.

The presentation also highlighted several ATTRACTISS initiatives supporting knowledge exchange across Europe, including the WoW (Webinars on Wednesdays) series and the ATTRACTISS Master Classes. Participants were encouraged to join the AKISConnect platform, developed jointly by ATTRACTISS and modernAKIS, which facilitates cross-country collaboration and supports the development and implementation of Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) across Europe.

The workshop provided an important opportunity to showcase how ATTRACTISS contributes to strengthening innovation ecosystems, supporting knowledge exchange, and enhancing collaboration between CAP and Horizon Europe initiatives.
